Currenlty, I'm not looking for a corp. I'm still new. I'm still figuring out what I want and how to get it. I'm content running alone at this point. But I do drop into the Corp Recruitment section every so often to see what's available and keep an open mind for when I do want to play more seriously and hop into a corp. And I've noticed there's a lot of corps recruting with the exact same sales pitches. Almost as numerous are the individuals who post that they're looking for a corp and list their specific interests and skills.
So I come to you, my fellow dustbunnies, to seek input on a proposal. Do we need external recruting? Are there already external recruiters I didn't see? What I'm proposing, is that someone (obviously I have an interest in doing this) browses the corp recruitment section and keep tabs on the various corps that are recruting and the individuals posting their "Dust Resumes". This person would then contact recrutiers from the corps and individuals seeking corps and attempt to match them up with what they're looking for. Perhaps if it's successful, then the external recruiters might be able to receive requests directly from individuals or corps so that the ex-r could keep their eyes open.
I am suggesting a Dust Staffing Corporation, essentially. I might even begin one as early as tonight, if the feedback appears to favor the idea. So does this sound plausible? Is it just unnecessary? Is it a blatant money-making scheme (not that I would charge ISK for the service, not right now anyway since it's a random idea and could easily have no merit)? What are your thoughts? |

While very true, this wouldn't so much be a corporation as an independent project. I didn't actually mean to imply I'd be beginning a corporation whose sole purpose was to staff others. I meant "staffing corporation" as a description of what the project would be, relating it to real-world staffing corporations or temp agencies. And given the time it would take to make all the necessary introductions and gather demographic information from existing, recruiting corps, this service would very like be pro bono for the foreseeable future as the operational hiccups would be substantial. |
